Create For Yourself An Opportunity To Do The Things You Love

Ted Williams, as you all know, has made himself awakened to the world of discovering and recovering his long deep potential resource : his magnetic voice as a Radio Announcer and only not too long earlier, he was still homeless and helpless begging for help at the roadside. Within days, Ted received multiple job offers even Oprah wants him in IF he is available. How incredible America !
This is truly amazing an example he shows: ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. - Mat 7:7
Some say, if you want to succeed, you must be thick-faced to ask, seek and knock and you are well on your way to success. Sometimes we have to create our own opportunity to acquire what we desire.
Let's read on :
Peter is a smart businessman. One day, he said to his son, Dan. " I have prepared for you a girl to be your wife."
Dan : I will decide who I want to marry.
Peter : But the girl I am talking about is the daughter of Bill Gates.
Dan : What ? Then...........
Later at a function, Peter met Bill.
Peter : Let me introduce your daughter a good husband.
Bill : My daughter is not in a hurry to marry.
Peter : But the young man I am talking about is the Vice Chairman of the World Bank.
Bill : What ? Then...............
Meanwhile, Peter went to see the Director of the World Bank.
Peter : I would like to introduce a young man to be your Vice Chairman.
Director : We already have several vice chairmen. It's not necessary.
Peter : But this young man is the son-in-law of Bill Gates.
Director : What ? Then..............
Weeks later, Peter's son married Bill Gates' daughter and also becomes the vice chairman of the World Bank.

Top-level comments on this article: (8 total)Hilda, thanks for your inspiring article. I have been there; but I have never been quite that optimistic as to alter the present view of reality. I also have a friend currently staying in a homeless shelter for abused women and children. She has asked my help in preparing a resume. Do you suggest that...Hi Suzi, I think if your friend has the ability or talent or even because of survival, she should go ahead to at least try it since there's lots opportunities out there. One never knows what comes next. O ya, you should help her with the resume Suzi. Thanks for reading & commenting.
Good stuff Ms. Cang. That Peter must be a politician, or should be. His masterful manipulation of events could get him one fancy retirement package.Yes David, that Peter is one smart mastermind and the end result makes him very satisfying. He is more successful, in a way !
Thanks for reading !The politician as you suspected is right Mr. David. He is none other than Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav from Bihar. Ha ha ha ha!
Reading this joke, I remember I read exactly the same story but under different identities. The father was the former Chief Minister of Bihar state in India Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav who is notorious for his many illegal activities and is also renown to have begotten 14 children. And he is talking on behalf of his son with Mr. Bill Gates and we had a good laugh then, that he could go to any extent to lie. But now I see where the original story comes from. Thank you.Haha DM. Thanks for reading. But this clever man in my story is a different kind of character. He ain't violent nor notorious but just looking for a "chance" to climb higher in position wise. These days, if you want a notable living, you can create any decent opportunity to get one. (GRIN) But of course, it's easier said than done !!
That's a very clever man, Hilda!! I think it's true, that we do have to find the solution to our problems, and we have to not lose faith that we can do it. I've often heard Oprah say something like "if you need, ask. If people are saying no to you, you're asking the wrong people". I think many of us wrestle with that societal rule which says it's wrong to be needy and practically a sin to ask.Hi Jennifer, you are so right . It definitely is not a sin to ask when in need. Oprah is so right too. A lot of times we approach the wrong people and got a negative feedback that hurts and I think Ted Williams is a good model with his honesty. He is a positive guy.

Hi Shari, I know we are similar to one another, we love humors so we can find chuckling in our articles always.
Haha.......
Great article, Hilda. "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. - Mat 7:7" It reminded me of my niece in the Philippines who asked me years ago, "Tita, I want to become a doctor, will you help me?" Make a long story short, she is now a doctor...ask and it will be given to you.
Thanks for writing this well-written piece.
Happy Birthday, Hilda.Hi Nenita, so happy to hear from you and thanks for your well-wishes. I believe Tita has great Faith in God and that enriches her well being and succeeded in becoming a Doctor finally.
May you have a great life as well, my friend.Sorry, Tita is Nenita............ your niece is the doctor.................Some hangovers..birthday bash..............
