A Day To Bid "Farewell" To Someone Dear

Last week, my husband's sister's husband passed away after a long illness. Paying our last respect at the chapel before the funeral service the next day where we got to meet relatives from here and there, friends from this church and that church all gathered together to give moral support and encouragement to the family. Some of the friends whom we have not met in a long long while, we were surprised or got the chance to see them here or they were us, to say "hello" at the mortuary chapel. (ironic)
The pastor was speaking, relating the happenings of Uncle's life on this earth. It was very inspiring and comforting, perhaps a relief for him.
The next day, we went to their church for the funeral service. It was packed with people. The guy on stage was playing two songs of which, one was the Seekers' = I'll never find another you. A beautiful and meaningful popular song in the 60s-70s. The other one was a hot pop number with beats that made you want to dance and indeed, I couldn't control my body and feet from swinging rhythmically only that I was worried Uncle might not like it as it's really kind of noisy and pop for a solemn service as this.
It took about two hours for the process and after that, followed by a lunch at Uncle's house but some of them could not make it as they had to rush to the airport to catch the next flight back to Kuala Lumpur and other destinations, respectively.
Dear Uncle, Rest in Peace. You had walked the long long journey and now you are resting in heaven with the Father. No pain, no sorrow as in the Promised Land for the pain and sorrow in the physical body had been taken away, forever and ever !
