What Do You Do With A Hundred Beds ?

Our bed (the family's) that we have been sharing since a long time ago, until very recently, is finally worn-out. It's only natural that it has gotten this shape through general wear and tear, year after year.

So, the idea of buying a new one to replace the old one is logic to the point.

A famous saying goes like this : you can save anything but not a bed because a good bed gives you comfort and relaxation that you so well deserved after a long day's work. If you are the type who think sleeping means the world to you then you will agree with me. After all, I certainly considered myself a sleeping beauty above all else.

So, going to the Home & Decor shop the next day to look around and see if something could come up but because I am not much of a picky shopper but my husband is and has always been. Our ideas would clash sometimes as far as shopping is concerned. He will press here, touch there as if he is trying to compare, to identify and so on. What's more, we are buying a two-people's business bed which sounds serious to him. You can imagine this for me

To me, there's no need to make a fuss over anything. One man's meat can be another's poison. I always think if the roof doesn't leak when it rains, you can be contended and call yourself a lucky fellow. A brand new bed is meant for resting your body that of course includes pleasure over a night (relaxing, dreaming and reading) you might expect others.

I just feel that if you have the world, you only still eat that much your stomach can hold, though you can afford to order one hundred dishes. You only sleep in one bed, you only wear one pair of shoes one time even though you may have one thousand pairs of shoes ( like the former president's wife of Philipiness ) She has over three thousand pairs more, to be exact.

It is pitiful that we all think it wrong. We think we can be here for a hundred years to come. We acquire more than we need and keep them all without contributing to the needy and the sick until we lost the meaning of living.

One last story : A king wanted to reward one of his servants for his hardwork, he decided to offer him some land. The condition was that the servant would set off early in the morning by riding a horse and be back by sunset. The distance he covered would be his which meant how much land or how many miles he and the horse could set feet on would become his own properties.

This greedy man was thinking of himself, his children, his future richness and he wanted more land until he got so exhausted and dropped dead shortly after sunset. He was buried barely in just a small plot of land thereafter.

You say, "I always think if the roof doesn't leak when it rains, you can be contended and call yourself a lucky fellow. I love your attitude--I need to be more like that!

Hi Steve, thanks for your kind comment. Human beings are prone to be insatiable of all kinds of things in the world that make them unhappy if not achieved so if we can be content with what we have then we can live happier.

I hope you can be happier.
A little more insight into our lovely Hilda Cang. You seem to be so easy going and sensible. True you can only wear one pair of shoes at a time. But we always want more and more. I would say, however, that it was definitely time for a new bed.

Hello Gray Mare, sounds a bit overwhelming for me. Thanks.

These days and ages, what I have not seen? I believe everything has its limits and time.

Many things are not good over the limit (overdo this that) Even LOVE has its limit.

Let's have some fun. Haha.

Loved the article. Got a bit more insight into the Hilda Cang I follow and love to read. You have a great take and I'll bet you don't have a bizillion shoes either. But I would say you needed a new bed from what you write.

Yes, I desperately needed a new bed but not a new man anyway. And I got it after going to the furniture shop here. You know, a new bed gives you new "feel" .......

Thanks for your kind comment again.
