My 9/11 - A Horrified Tragic Event

Recalling that fateful month of September the 11th (9/11) 10 years from now, which marked the saddest and darkest day for all the families and their fellow-countrymen all over the world who lost their loved ones in the cruelest and inhumane terrorism attack that occurred so suddenly, all too soon to be alerted to safety or to escape, most unforfunately and heartbreaking to see this befell thousands of innocent, barehanded people in a single day.

I vividly remember, on that morning of September the 11th, I was, as usual, going on with my daily routines the moment I opened my eyes from my dream. I had some friends hanging around in my house and after they had left, I turned my TV on but I wasn't aware of something so sinister had already happened in New York City.

The broadcaster was talking while a plane was directly flashing and crashing into the top of a tall building which (the tower) looked familiar to me. Then, balls of fires and smoke started to spread and dispersed and melting down the building. I thought I was seeing some fiction movie commercial. This couldn't be real. But I saw real people on the ground looking and gazing up into the sky, in disbelief and shock. Later, a few planes were also crashed and more people were killed. It was like doomsday had come closing in on.

Ever since the tragedy attack happened in the eyes of the world, I have tried to avoid watching too many relevant video clips or news reporting such hellish acts which are yet to be condemned.

I hate to judge but I know this was the job of the devilish terrorism behind all this, one such is inimitable and yes, life goes on but where is the justice for those who lost their lives ?

In 1982, I visited the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City with my husband. We walked up and down and window-shopped the whole day around the building. It remains a memory in a life time !

Hilda, how frightening! I'm from the Midwest, and I saw the attacks on television, as well. But I had a much greater sense of distance. However, having survived the tornado in Joplin, daily riding through so much distruction isn't easy. It's the closest I can imagine living in NY must have been like in the time after the attacks.

Hi Melissa, thanks for dropping by and yes, it isn't easy living in NY and the aftermath of the attacks. Many need undergo some sort of counselling and moral support. We feel with them in time of difficulty as this. That's the time we come closer for strength.

Thanks for joining my fan club, Melissa.

Yes, David. Not another time. Not in a 100 years. 911 has indeed touched many other people's lives and their perspectives.

I still remember hearing it on the Television it still sends shivers down my spine, it's such a shame that there are "Humans" among us that deem it reasonable to kill so many. My heart goes out to all that have been affected.

Same with me, Lee. Our hearts go out to those who are affected although I am miles away from NYC.

Hello everyone, I have been thinking and praying about how I was changed with the 9/11 attacks. Before 9/11 I did not really have a world connection to anything or really anybody except for Africa. When that incident happened it changed my life because of the dreams and visions that I have had since then. After it happened I had several dreams about the survivors and have a spiritual connection to the people there. I pray for the loved ones and the daily struggles that they still confront. God Bless and I pray that America gets back the passion for the Lord that we had when the country was new. Carol
