What Does It Tell You In The Mirror By A Look ?

When I take a long look in the mirror, I survey closely around my face, my eyes, my nose and then my mouth. Thank God all these are still there, intact except may be tads of shiny white hair which have appeared uninvited without my notice as I have not paid much attention to my face all this while until this assignment.

However, by the look of my face from the mirror, I can seriously tell an honest truth no one will disagree and that is the cruelty of time. How it is unrelenting and uncompromising no matter who you are, poor or rich, what you do, where you are from, the sands of time is ever ready and awaiting whether you are aware of it or not.

When we were young, nothing seemed to bother us with much anticipation. When I again take a second long look into the mirror, I know I am no longer the sweet 25 girl I used to be. The dream I dreamed has been fulfilled and matured. I have done my fair share as a motherly wife and now a level up. The struggle has been defeated by the Grace of God. Indeed, we have come a long way to take part in the marathon race and we have managed to finish the final for the victory, may be more to come .

A mirror image is a sign of awareness indicates that the age says it all.  I am not certain I can say a mirror is like a magic crystal ball that the gypsy predicts your past, present and the future precisely if you pay her a dime but I know when we look into the mirror, nothing missing on the face except an addition of grey hair, wrinkles and eyes that, one word will suffice :  older, wiser.
In the Mirror.

Time is relentless, isn't it Hilda, at least in its passage. It's funny how we don't realize it at all until a certain age, then it's kind of a surprise. But it seems to me you've lived your life well so far and accumulated a lot of wisdom. I'd also say your inner beauty has matured and blossomed.

Jennifer, many thanks for your kind comment. Time really is relentless . My life is an experience along the line. No one can hold it tightly, it sure slips away.......
