How SMS Can Be Ridiculously Misleading For Some Golden Oldies Like Us ?

Sms has become a way of communication in our daily lives. Generally, it is cheaper in rate as compared to making a call and if the sender is precise and clear about the message he sent, sms can certainly be a convenient, fast and reliable tool of telecommunication for busy mankind of today. Likewise, it is silent and private and that is the best part about smses.
The first sms came like this ( How are you? I'm RETURNING to KL today and feeling so sad.) I wasn't exactly sure I knew what she actually meant by this sms. We both live in KK, there was no reason that she was "RETURNING" to Kuala Lumpur (KL) For what ? And if we do go to KL, we normally do not feel sad. My silly first wild guess was that she was under some serious diagnosis of some kind that she was urgently required to go to KL for treatment.
Quickly, without delay, I sms her back ( Why are you so sad to RETURN to KL? Or is it a happy holiday for you ?)
Her reply came in a jiff ( Leaving him. No proper meals.)
Again, I was double-puzzled. Since when she and her husband have become so lovey-dovey but they are not really like, can't live without one another type of couple after 30 years of marriage. Besides, I knew Tony is a very very independent man and he can take care of himself like a mother her baby. He can cook better than many people I know. (Leaving him, no proper meals) left me in bewilderment. Naturally, I sms her back in a minute, trying to comfort her, thinking old Tony was the one she was referring to. ( Tony is ok. He can take good care of himself. But you go there for how long ?)
Her reply came this time ( My son I mean. Did I type KL or KK? I must be out of my mind . My poor health worsens and weakens my focus. )
I replied to her ( Oh, I see. You mean James. You said to RETURN to KL was in fact to KK. I think James is ok. Big boy and good boy.)
Finally, everything was cleared of the mess but if I were in her position, I would first mention the name of the subject instead of using HIM or HER.

Imagine if you are dealing with some big business and got misinformed. I once pressed too fast my cellphone and sent a sms to my pastor saying ( dinner at 7pm ok )
