An Allegory Story- Don't Be Too Late To Love

6 months after the funeral of their mother, 2 of the 5 sons were talking about the reconstruction of her tombstone, in a year or two if possible, to modify it so that she could rest in a nicer and cosier little place permanently. At least, they had the conscious as such, to compensate them (not her) some kind of comfort or might even be some guilty conscience, so to speak. They thought by doing so would somehow show that they cared and she would deeply appreciate them for their concern and gratitude towards  her, from six feet underground.

From the time when she was diagnosed with cancer, her 5 sons and their 5 wives did dutifully take turn to visit her in the hospital until she was discharged and put up in her eldest son's family as he was the richest among them all. Then after some months, they transferred her to her 2nd son's family and stayed for another two months before they moved her to her 3rd son's house and so forth. They took turn to look after her by rotating her like a rolling ball. The 5 wives were getting impatient and tired of taking care of a fragile "extra" and they got so weary at times and went into a tantrum, many a time, right in front of the poor old and sick woman. She knew she was giving them too much trouble but she said nothing.

She breathed her last finally, pitifully one dark night. After the burial, warm discussions were being brought up. They suggested to have her gravestone designed and beautified so that she could stay there comfortably and that also made them proud.

To love somebody is a present tense, better still if it's a present continuous form. Don't wait till it's too late to shower your love. The dead is not able to appreciate or enjoy your goodness and kindness no matter how much you do for them.

Yeah Kacy, there should be more such incidents, sadly to say. I wonder what's the meaning of rearing children up and have an ending like this?
