Some Nostaglia about A Character

In the beginning of my junior high year one, we had a female teacher who taught us mathematics. I wasn't sure if she did another subject for the class but back then, it's general  a teacher could be responsible to teach up to two different subjects for the same class if they were assigned to and proved capable, why not ?

This Miss Peggy Loo was always the centre of attraction and an item in our eyes not because of her expertise in maths but because she was such a sophisticated and near to vanity, as a teacher of this convent school where there was a Mother as the principal and two Sisters who were all from England and along with 30 other local teachers, male and female as a board and Miss Peggy Loo was one of the odd ones.

I could not deny how much I hated maths back then. I wondered why on earth we had to study about the formula painfully to resolve an answer that took up more than 30 minutes, if you were lucky enough. I would scream a silent scream loudly : Maths was not my cup of tea. In my whole life, I only did some interesting mathematics questions brilliantly, in my much junior years, so to say.

However, we girls loved to study about Miss Peggy's fashionable attires as much as we hated maths. By that I mean the amount of love and hate for two different things was equal. But Miss Peggy had a great impact on us. We were wishing we could dress up like her some day. Never mind hating her class but overall, we enjoyed sizing and measuring her up and down while she was busily resolving questions on the white board only had we busily watching her from head to toes. If her suit or dress was of baby blue or navy blue, then her earrings, bag and shoes and belt would altogether go with the same color, perhaps a little bit light shaded. There was no match as far as Miss Peggy's fashion was concerned.

Apart from her bizarre dressings, Miss Peggy was but a hot-tempered and quite an impatient lady we girls discovered. After 3 years, she left here for England with her younger sister to settle there and what we later heard was that she got married to a long time boyfriend and that's it all.
